I've been swapping e-reader books with Sindi for a few months now and decided we should put together our own book club so that we can see what other people are reading too. I don't know about you but I go through book-moods where I'm only interested in reading certain types of books. I have the crime/mystery mood, the life/drama mood, the comedy mood, etc. etc. It's kind of exasperating to be in the funny-book mood and not know of a good book of that genre. Sooooooooo.. maybe this will help. We'll kind of wing it and see where it goes, I guess.
Currently I am reading The Neighbor by Lisa Gardner.
Sindi turned me on to the Lisa Gardner books and I'm hooked. They are crime/mystery type books and follow one main character, a female homocide detective.
The Neighbor grabbed me in the first paragraph and I haven't set it down since. It's really good! The main story is about a couple who have a little girl together. In the early stages of the book, the wife vanishes from her bed, and of course, the husband is the prime suspect. As the story unfolds we learn that they both have pretty disturbing histories and a complicated relationship but the thing that keeps them hanging on is this little girl. So far it's a really good read! I can't wait for it all to unfold and find out what happened.
